Lakes Region Chalet | Firepit + Gunstock View

My group of 10 adults stayed at this rental for 3 nights. The house was large enough, and had the right number of bedrooms and bathrooms, to accommodate all of us comfortably. We enjoyed the up to date appliances and the open kitchen, dining room, and living room area. All rooms were clean and neat, when we arrived, and the beds were made. There was also two decks with comfortable furniture. The one on the dining room / living room side of the house has a great view.

I can not in good conscience give this rental a good review. We rented this house for Laconia bike week and were less than satisfied for what we paid for. Not pictured is the huge hill that this driveway sits upon; the driveway is less than optimal for bikes and trailers and not accurately depicted in the house photos.We arrived to garbage over-flowing onto the driveway & road from the garbage can to which animals clearly got into each night. The entry door to the basement led us to a damp and stinky basement and a downstairs bathroom that smelled like bad plumbing. The main level has no AC as described in the rental description rendering the primary bedroom unless for the first 4 days.The upstairs AC units were left off upon our arrival making the entire house unpleasantly hot. There were ants all over the house with ant traps all about counters and floors. The outside furniture and porches were covered with pollen and leaves, with zero effort to clean them for our use. When I reached out to discuss my concerns, all of which they admitted to knowing about, I was met with “I’m sorry you’re not as comfortable as you expected” with no offer of resolution.A huge disappointment at best and won’t be recommending or returning.
